A new robot has come to life. iMobot its a robtic "arm" that can be linked together to make a larger version of itslef. It is being tested to hopefully be used for search and rescue operations, and further robotic research. This robotic device has many capabilities. iMobot can roll end-over-end like a tread tank. It can also stand straight up by itself just like a camera stand. It can even inch along like a worm. This device can rotate 180 degrees. Reserchers are even looking into combining multiple iMobots that can work together as one, and do even greater good than the single one.
This device seems like a wonderful breakthrough for researches. The iMobot seems like it would be able to help with so many useful things for our world. Imagine if they made one big enough to rescue actual people. This arm-like robot could greatly improve our world, and help with so many rescue missions. I believe so many people could be helped by this device!
